2011 Lobster Landing Restaurant
Commitment Agreement


Child & Family Resources is inviting local restaurants to participate in the 24th Annual Lobster Landing!

Child & Family Resources is headquartered in Tucson with offices in Bullhead City, Douglas, Kingman, Nogales, Phoenix, Safford, Sierra Vista, Willcox, and Yuma. Each year, CFR serves 38,000 clients across the state to build resilient children and families, ensure excellent childcare and education, and build communities that value children and families.

Lobster Landing Tucson's largest Crustacean Celebration! We fly in 2,000 live Maine Lobsters and host a festival complete with entertainment, beer & wine tasting, a retail store, Kids’ Korner, lobster pick-up, and more! Lobster Landing also features the Lobster Lover Fleet, some of Tucson’s finest restaurants preparing food samples. Each restaurant will be provided a table in the outside area and will be responsible for decorating their booth and providing signage and/or literature.

This year we are adding a new element! Restaurants that are part of the Lobster Lover Fleet will compete against each other for the most innovative and delicious dish, as voted by the customers. The winner will receive additional promotion and the soon-to-be coveted 2011 Lobster Landing Admiral Award.

The 24th Annual Lobster Landing is scheduled for November 12, 2011 at Plaza Palomino. Dress for the event is casual. Crustacean Celebration Tickets are $40 each. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.

As a member of the Lobster Love Fleet,
we ask that you:

  • Decorate and operate a booth at Lobster Landing.
  • Provide a sample-sized serving for 200-400 attendees (final count given one week before the event). We encourage the use of seafood (lobster, crab, shrimp, fish, etc.). All dishes must be approved by Child & Family Resources by October 15, 2011.
  • Provide one gift certificate ($25 minimum value) as a Raffle or Online Auction prize. Please drop it off or mail it in by October 15th.
  • Provide space for a small tabletop display in your restaurant promoting Lobster Landing from September 15th to November 12th.
  • Secure the proper permits through the Pima County Health Department.


To restaurants committed by July 15th,
Child & Family Resources will provide:

  • One 6” banquet table with table cloth at Lobster Landing.
  • An article featuring the Lobster Lover Fleet in the Summer 2011 Newsletter mailed to 1,500 donors.
  • Provided logo and hyperlink on the Lobster Landing website.
  • Provided logo and hyperlink in a minimum of three pre-event e-mail blasts to a total of 3,000 donors.
  • Provided logo and name in the Lobster Landing brochure mailed to nearly 10,000 people in key Foothills, Oro Valley, and east side zip codes.
  • Mention in all print advertising and media releases.
  • Provided logo on “Sponsor” posters at Lobster Landing.
  • Provided logo on event map distributed to all customers at Lobster Landing.
  • 4 Crustacean Celebration Tickets for seafood samples and beer & wine tasting (A $160 value!)
  • If you prepare a lobster dish, we will provide the requested number of 1 ¼ pound live Maine lobsters for approximately $7.95 per pound (price may fluctuate due to market value), to be delivered on Friday, November 11th.

The winner of the 2011 Lobster Landing
Admiral Award will also receive:

  • A unique award you can display in your restaurant.
  • An article featuring your restaurant in the Winner 2012 Newsletter mailed to 1,500 donors.
  • Logo and hyperlink in a post-event email blast to 1,000 donors.
  • Prime location at the 25th Annual Lobster Landing in 2012.
  • Special recognition in all 2012 Lobster Landing literature and marketing.
